Did you know that only 10% of plastic waste is recycled while the other 90% piles up in landfills, harming the environment and increasing greenhouse gas emissions?
Tackling this issue, Ichitan Group has launched a unique product, “ReLife the Plastic, ReLife the Ocean,” in collaboration with rising pop artist Mackcha.
The limited-edition Chalotte collection is now featured on 500 ml bottles of Ichitan Green Tea, showcasing “Charlotte,” a character from an enchanting underwater world created to connect with Gen Z and promote environmental consciousness. Each bottle in this collection is made from 100% recyclable rPET, including the bottle, cap, and label.
Tan Passakornnatee, CEO of Ichitan Group PCL, highlights the urgency of protecting the planet, noting the rising impact of extreme weather events as a call to action.
He urges everyone to consume responsibly and recycle, emphasizing that sustainability requires collective effort. Designed to encourage environmental stewardship, the Ichitan x Mackcha bottles are entirely recyclable, from the label down to the cap. Tan shares, “There’s still time to restore our planet, but we must act now.”
Featuring “Charlotte” and her whale companion, this collaboration symbolizes ocean conservation and gives consumers a sustainable choice through Ichitan’s “ReLife the Plastic, ReLife the Ocean” initiative.
Ichitan also incorporates sustainable practices, like Cold Aseptic Filling Technology, which reduces plastic usage by 28.5%. Aiming for carbon neutrality in production by 2050, Ichitan plans to use at least 30% rPET in its 500 ml Green Tea bottles by 2024, saving 175 tons of virgin plastic each year.
Enjoy Ichitan’s refreshing Green Tea, available in Honey Lemon, Original, and Genmaicha flavors for 25 baht each. Customers can support sustainability further by returning bottles for recycling and redeeming a limited-edition ‘Charlotte’ lanyard made from rPET, available exclusively at EM STATION 1, M Floor, Emporium, from 11 November to 8 December 2024.
