Bitkub Capital Group Holdings partnered with ETHGlobal to advance blockchain development in Southeast Asia. The collaboration supported DEVCON 7, hosted from November 12–17, 2024, at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. The event brought together over 20,000 developers, researchers, and blockchain enthusiasts from across the globe.
The ETHGlobal Bangkok Hackathon, a major highlight, welcomed over 2,750 developers eager to create real-world Web3 applications. Participants joined hands-on workshops from over 55 blockchain projects, fostering growth in the Web3 ecosystem.
Bitkub’s Founder and Group CEO, Jirayut Srupsrisopa, emphasized the partnership’s significance in showcasing Thailand’s fintech potential and its emergence as a blockchain innovation hub in Asia. With more than $20,000 in prizes and special workshops, Bitkub encouraged utility project development on the Bitkub Chain, advancing the local blockchain industry.
ETHGlobal’s VP of Partnerships, Jacob Willemsma, praised the collaboration, highlighting Bitkub’s role in the event’s success and Thailand’s leadership in blockchain adoption.
As part of DEVCON 7, Bitkub Capital Group reinforced Thailand’s tech readiness with nationwide billboards and real-time crypto price displays, leaving a strong impression on attendees.
