Nestlé and NAT Join Forces to Promote Health and Nutrition in Thailand

Nestlé Thailand has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Nutrition Association of Thailand (NAT) under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. This collaboration aims to improve health literacy, support research initiatives, and encourage healthy habits among Thai people.

The agreement includes a three-year commitment from Nestlé Thailand to fund research on nutrition and public health. A special grant in 2025 will focus on studies that promote balanced diets and lifestyle changes to help lower the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Both organizations aim to enhance public knowledge of nutrition and healthy behaviors to ensure long-term benefits for the Thai community.

Salinla Seehaphan, Corporate Affairs Director of Nestlé (Thai) Ltd., highlighted the company’s commitment to better health through proper nutrition. She stated that Nestlé continues to develop healthier products, with over 100 items now certified with the Healthier Choice Logo, indicating reduced sugar, sodium, and fat content. She also noted Nestlé’s longstanding efforts in educating the public on nutrition over the past 16 years. Through this MoU, the company aims to further advance research and contribute to reducing NCD cases in Thailand.

Associate Professor Dr. Rewadee Chongsuwat, President of the Nutrition Association of Thailand, emphasized the organization’s mission to promote better nutrition and prevent unhealthy habits. She noted the long-standing collaboration between NAT and Nestlé in delivering health knowledge to Thai communities. The formal agreement strengthens this partnership, allowing both parties to combine their expertise in nutrition education to benefit public health and support Thailand’s sustainable development.
