Sixth Form students at DBS Denla British School can now apply for full scholarships to support academic aspirations.
DBS Denla British School, a top-tier international school in Thailand, has unveiled the Pandejpong Awards, offering full scholarships to high-performing Year 11 students entering the Sixth Form. This initiative reinforces DBS’s dedication to academic excellence and its mission to prepare students for leading global universities.
The awards, generously funded by the Pandejpong family, honour their 46-year commitment to education, which began with the founding of Denla Kindergartens. Each scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for Sixth Form students, amounting to up to THB 2 million.
Since its establishment in 2017, DBS has gained recognition for its rigorous academic approach and British curriculum, tailored from the UK’s esteemed Independent schools. The Pandejpong family’s vision remains central, fostering a balance between scholastic achievement and personal growth.
Chairman of the DBS Board, Arn Pandejpong, emphasized the family’s commitment to nurturing future leaders through education. He highlighted that the scholarships aim to unlock the potential of talented students by removing financial barriers and enabling them to achieve academic goals.
The Pandejpong Awards also offer an additional scholarship package worth up to THB 250,000 per student. This funding supports activities such as university visits, research, and other educational pursuits, further enhancing the scholars’ readiness for prestigious institutions worldwide.
Asst Prof Dr Toryos Pandejpong, a member of the DBS Board, noted the importance of Sixth Form years in shaping a student’s university and career trajectory. By providing these scholarships, DBS ensures students receive unparalleled support to achieve their highest potential and contribute positively to society.
Applications are open until February 14, 2025. The rigorous selection process includes standardized tests, critical thinking assessments, and panel interviews. Results will be announced in March 2025 after examinations on March 1.
Pandejpong Scholars are expected to excel academically, uphold leadership values, and participate in enrichment programs. Through this initiative, DBS underscores its commitment to delivering a transformative education.
Reflecting on the awards, Sawanee Pandejpong shared how her personal journey with limited resources shaped her belief in education’s power to transform lives. She hopes the scholarships provide opportunities for deserving students to achieve their dreams and make meaningful contributions to society.
