Three Major Global Summits in 2025Thailand is gearing up to host three major international conferences in 2025— the Wellness Global Summit, the Global Economic Forum, and the Global Sustainable Energy Forum. The events, scheduled from 11–14 June 2025 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok, aim to drive sustainable progress in health, economy, and energy.

A press conference held on 7 February 2024 officially announced Thailand’s plans for the summits. Global leaders and experts will gather to discuss economic strategies, innovative solutions, and sustainability initiatives. One of the key figures at the event, Dr. Sirilak Pruekpitikul, Deputy Director of the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), will deliver a keynote address on climate change, PM2.5 air pollution, and carbon credit policies.

Dr. Sirilak highlighted GISTDA’s role in tackling environmental challenges through space technology. The agency, under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, provides satellite data and AI-driven analytics to support informed decision-making. These insights help governments, businesses, and individuals address climate change, air pollution, and sustainable resource management.

PM2.5 pollution remains a pressing concern in many regions, including Thailand. Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and northern provinces frequently experience hazardous air quality during the dry season. To combat this, GISTDA developed the “Check Dust” app, allowing users to monitor PM2.5 levels in real time using satellite imagery and AI-powered forecasting. The tool helps individuals take preventive measures while enabling authorities to implement air quality control strategies.
